Frequently Asked Questions
We've got answers to your questions! Prepare for an amazing experience when you visit The Method.
Absolutely. Our Doctors of Physical Therapy specialize in prenatal care that is tailored to every stage of pregnancy. We focus on stabilizing the pelvis, managing back pain, and maintaining strength to prepare your body for labor and delivery. Every movement is modified to ensure the safety of both you and your baby.
We recommend starting at The METHOD 3 weeks postpartum to start getting you connected back to your body, core and breathe. After clearance from you OB-GYN at 6 weeks, we would progress to higher level exercise and intensity.
Diastasis recti is a very common condition, and it is a core focus of our postpartum recovery programs. We move beyond basic "ab exercises" to help you rebuild deep abdominal tension and functional strength, allowing you to return to lifting, running, and daily activities without symptoms.
Yes! We pride ourselves on being a family-friendly environment. We know that childcare can be a barrier to recovery, so you are more than welcome to bring your baby to your sessions at any of our locations. We make your healing process as seamless as possible.
You can start gentle, early-stage recovery (focused on breathwork and mobility) as early as 2–4 weeks postpartum. For more intensive physical therapy or a return to high-impact training, we typically wait for your 6-week clearance, but we are here to support your transition from the very beginning.
